The Passport is abandoned... WITH a CEO who acts like he trained on SNL & leaves customers last, expectations from BlackBerry as a company are pipe dreams...

What makes you think the passport is abandoned?

Cars aren't exactly like phones. The roads don't become incompatible with older cars.
Depends. Here in The Netherlands, more and more cities are banning older cars from Downtown areas. If your car is over 10 years old, you're not allowed to drive Downtown. And in Germany, they're doing the same thing in many cities. So in a way, the roads do become incompatible with older cars.

Who knows what will happen after the global rollout.
    1. Price drop, starting late January
    2. More carriers, more subsidized prices
    3. More promotion ('marketing ')
    4. More sales
    5. New high-mid range BlackBerry Android device
    6. End of quarter, "market has spoken" verdict.

The above is probably close to reality though usual disclaimers apply : IMHO, FWIW, salt it, etc.

Really? A 10 year old car isn't that old.

I agree, but try telling that to the City Councils of those cities...

All based on lies about better emissions on cars from 2006 onwards, from VW/Audi.
