Just wondering if there are any bugs or faults with the new keyboard on the Blackberry Passport? I had one and it was fine, but just curious if anyone found anything out of the ordinary or unusual other than light bleed...

I've had mine since launch, and I haven't noticed any double-typing at all. I have noticed an inconsistent lighting effect, where some keys are brighter than others, however. It only bothers me when I look closely.

Only thing I have personally experienced, which is well documented in the forums, is that cold weather wreaks havoc causing keyboard to go crazy in very cold temperatures. Other than moving to hawaIi, its fine!

Yes. I have already started a thread on it yesterday.

It's definitely a software bug because it's only happening in certain apps.

Double typing has already been reported by a few users on this forum (there is a thread somewhere), myself included. IMO, I wouldn't be surprised if it's only a matter of time before it becomes widespread. My "M" and "N" keys have started acting up, especially the former.

    Edit: And here's another thread:

Dude, Blackberry makes the best mobile device keyboard hands down...bar none! Why would there be issues with perfection? Just asking.

Yep, my n letter seems to be acting up recently. Wondering it is the aging of my keyboard or the leaks I have been getting... now I am on the official 10.3.1.2576, will find it out.

Nope. Not with mine, running on stock 10.3.0 OS still. Didn't know there was one (an issue with double typing, that is). I've had mine since October. So far so good.

I'll take Hawaii any day. But as far as cold effects, I used my phone in -22 degrees Celsius temperatures while skiing up north and didn't have any issues. Keyboard was better definitely. The folks with touch screen devices were SOL though. Screen was unresponsive.

I have this issue but not a big deal. Remember you can swipe back to delete double letters on your keyboard.

No problems for me other than occasionally missing the space bar (cause it's kind of small) but I haven't totally gotten used to typing on it yet either. I do wish there was a way to keep the keyboard lit up when typing but apparently it reacts to the lighting.
