Good lord, I hope this is true. I spend half my day watching for my screen to start splitting, and the rest of it testing out my 'Q' key to make sure it's still attached.

We seem to have some really weird extremes in build quality going on.

That's what I'm counting on. My screen is still secure, but it's only been a week. The 'Q' key is definitely loose. A few others are rattling as well. None have, as of yet, threatened to fall off even though I have light-bleed on the 'Q'.

    Just let it stay there...

Anybody notice they are recording it with an iPhone? I do wish my Passport is half as solid as this one. They throw this one from 20 feet and it does not break the first time. Mine split during a meeting while resting on a table.

You have posted that on every thread. I guess when you repeat it to yourself you feel better.

I have had mine and zero issues along with 99% of people on this site but feel free to believe the small few constitute and issue.

The reviewer used an iphone as he did not want to damage his more prized phones he left at home.

Ok that's too extreme. In the real world no one is going to do that to their own phone. Thanks for investing the time and money to do these extreme test though.

Hmmm... Timing of this video release is interesting indeed. Could it be "damage control" over "damage resistance"?

Now if the camera didn't cut away after every landing they might have a more credible "test" in my opinion. How hard is it to swap in a freshly dirtified Passport when the camera cuts away?

My leaky screen calls BS on this video

Yes and apparently that's the only thing an iPhone is good for. You think an iPhone can survive 1/10 of the abuse?

Where was the volcano part? And is the phone supposed to go up in smoke like that from a direct strike to the screen?

Yep lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries are very volatile. You rupture one of those babies and well... you see what happens. It's a battery physics thing, not a Passport issue.

Are you kidding? They may have retweeted the video, but it's still an irresponsible waste of resources. I don't find it funny at all.
