My Passport has crashed when I try to add an appointment, but it has also crashed when I edit an existing appointment. The entire calendar app just disappears without an error message or anything. Each time, I have reopened it right away and added/edited without a problem. So it is sporadic. I use the calendar a lot.

Yes, the same problem for me on my UK passport. Crashes every time in Agenda mode.

It was suggested that I reinstall the OS. Won't be doing this until I hear that it is indeed the solution.

The workaround that I use is to change from Agenda to Day setting when I need to add or edit an appointment in Calendar.

It's a pain in the arse, but what are you gonna do?

This way, it doesn't crash at least.

This may be just an OS related bug , not Passport related

When in Calendar - Agenda mode, tap the (+) button to create a new event will crash the app.

    Has anyone seen this? Thanks.

nada never ever had yer described issue. thinking it could be a bug during your update install. try to re side load the update or whatever version os u are running.

I've noticed this also over the past week or so. Also SQW100-1/10.2.3.2639. Although I normally use the calendar in month view, not agenda mode.
Thanks for the reply. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I used Agenda view 95% of time for my need to view daily tasks and appointments.

It happens on my Q5, and others have reported it too.

It's quite annoying and it doesn't crash every time either. Even though, it crashes more often than not.

Tried on mine few times on all categories with no issue. Have you tried restarting your phone?

    Posted via CB10
Sure. That's the first thing I do. However, the problem still persists.

I experienced the exact same thing. Thanks for pointing it out.

I've got the same problem too. It usually happens when I start adding an appointment and then it just kicks me out to the homescreen and I have to restart the calendar again. A little annoying when you're in the mindset of planning something :S It doesn't appear consistent however - at least I haven't found on my end.

Would be interesting to know if the people with the problem are all using the same general settings. For example, maybe this only happens if you have Monday set as the first day of the week.

It happens to me on my Passport, both on the recent update and the previous (official, not sideloaded). It's random, though. I almost never use the agenda view. It happens when I hit the "Add" button while in month view, and I just now tried it with agenda view and same flaw--it kills the app. Reopening it immediately works just fine. Weird.

I did mention this a few weeks ago:

Open a fresh instance of Calendar which for my usage defaults to Agenda. Click the bottom right corner (three dots) and select Add Task. Whatever I do, no matter how many times I restart the Passport, I always end up with a task added for today AND tomorrow in Calendar. If I try to delete the duplicate instance, both are deleted. However, if you stop using Agenda mode altogether the problem disappears :-)

Would be great if someone could post whether an OS reload has fixed these Calendar/Remember issues.

That has to do with the fact that the deadline of the task, as well as the reminder time are shown in the calendar. May be you set up task at date and standard reminder one day earlier... task is a remember note.
As said: deadline and reminder are shown both... which is good. I voted for this in the past!

No, I have simply done as explained with Meeting Reminder turned off (No Reminder) in the general settings.

    Check out remember app.
introduce a task there with date and time and set reminder at date and time.

You'll notice both in the calendar. Very practical and not an issue.

Turn off the option to view tasks on calendar. It works for me.

Thanks for both suggestions. To not have Tasks viewed in Agenda is bad for me; to add Tasks from a different app (Remember) is too many clicks away.

I'm hoping to be near a Mac soon. I'll install Blend onto it and do a complete reinstall of absolutely everything including the phone OS. If that doesn't fix the problem, it must be a permanent feature.

I use Agenda view with Tasks everyday to keep up with my daily schedule. I can't not stop using it.
