The end of the year and BB10 native WhatsApp is coming near, so I had to install the Android version.
I really miss the hub integration of new messages, but what is worse: I just can't enter numbers or symbols with the Passport keyboard because the on-screen symbol row is missing.

I guess the same problem applies to all Android apps, so what am I missing?

    Thanks a lot!

Have you tried to focus on the 'Message' text field by tapping on it after chat view appears?

It would be nice for all the WhatsApp users if they announced an extension once again for BlackBerry. I don't use the app myself but for the many that do I know it's vital for many.

With BlackBerry announcing "support" for another 2 years I don't see a downside for WhatsApp to continue some level of support. It doesn't have to be in the way of app updates but as long as the app continues to work as it does now on BlackBerry 10.

Hopefully we get lucky and they extend it!

Thanks guys! Now it is worfing fine!

I do miss the BB-native WhatsApp. It is much better integrated into the notification system and hub. I just can't undertand how people on IPhone or regular Android can live without the Hub.

As for the notification in the hub that works for me maybe check your settings and check if you have that ticked for hub or hub and app

It's EOL on Dec 30th of this year.

You have to use the Android version:

    https://www.whatsapp.com/android/

Then, (also requiring an SD card), apply this fix to get most features to work:
