Go to BlackBerry Beta Zone app
There's an app in there called WAA fixer

It's supposed to fix the picture issue.
Video they are still working on trying to fix.

Yea, Cellninja has been one of the main reasons BB10 is loved still.

I upgraded my bb10 whatsapp this morning and got the pop up message that informed me that I would have to change phones yadayadayada so I liked learn more and it detailed the platforms being dropped, it mentioned android 2.1 and 2.2 so, since the runtime is at 4.3 surely we will be fine for a while longer using that.

If it works we just got to make sure we don't update to the new updates next year or late this year that raise the runtime

Untrue. Android WhatsApp will work until they officially stop support for Android 4.3 and below. But still, 0% support for BlackBerry problems.

It's a bit more complicated than simply supporting Android 4.3.

They may increase reliance on Google Play Services, and Cobalt's tools may be out of date by then. There have also been many apps that officially support Jellybean, but STILL don't work on the BB10 Runtime. They can also block previous working versions of the app in favour of newer versions that don't.

I don't understand how it's getting push notifications. M not aware about any other app doing that as they are not connected to Google play.

A lot of Android apps have push notifications. KiK, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger to name 3.

Which version of the apk did you use? I downloaded the Whatsapp from play store yesterday to see if it'll be an option come December but it's stuck at the "looking for backup " screen. How u got it to load?
