Meh, don't care for it. If BlackBerry moves to Android then I don't see the point of showing support for BlackBerry or encourage others to experience BB10 anymore. Nothing against Google but I just plain don't like Android and the way it works. Windows or iPhones here I come.
That's just a simple Android launcher. You can download one yourself.

How?
Posted via CB10
I thought it was kinda fishy because they didn't launch any apps. LOL. The flow of the interface didn't feel right either because the frame changes were way off from any Android I've used.
There are lots of launchers around.
But I've been convinced by others that this particular one is more than just a launcher. Or if it is, it's a very special one.
My thoughts are that perhaps this IS an early version of a new OS. Other versions have shown a HUB though, so it's hard to tell. Certainly it shows that something is in the works as we suspected.
See Bla1ze's article:

its not fake! But definitely a working prototype of android on passport just like how it is going to be on slider.
Maybe they canceled the idea of Android Passport and directly launching Droid Slider
If they kill BB10, or make it secondary/inferior to their new toy of analdroid, I'm so OUT of here and jump to Windows Phone. I mean, I went from that disgusting OS to BlackBerry solely for the BB10. Gimmeabreak. All they ever need is a proper MARKETING effort if they really want to sell ANY device! Not this stupid, useless, and insulting, ploy!
Lol what's the name of that launcher?
Posted via CB10
Sure about that? You could install launchers all day long, they'll allow you to access apps, but they won't introduce a recents menu to toggle between apps.
Please tell us how that was carried out, simply.
I guess you didn't read my next post?
Z30STA100-5/10.3.2.2339
I did. It's not a launcher!
He clarified on his next post
PassportSQW100-1/10.3.2.2339 ftw!!
Could this mean we can get Android OS on our Passports in the future?
What do you think?
Posted via CB10
Probably dual OS or a fusion.
Windows, really?
Posted via CB10
Probably cause specs from silver edition are the same as the original passport

All hail blackberry silver edition running Android! Lot of android users (myself included) are waiting to plop down some cash on this thing!!

I personally think JC is a realist and will do what needs to be done. He's trying to 'secure' Android, which can never be as secure as BlackBerry OS or BlackBerry 10, but I think he will sell it as 'the most secure Android ever' to gain market share and make hardware profitable. What will remain of BlackBerry 10? We'll have to see about that, but I do think that if BlackBerry 10 is discontinued, the loyal BlackBerry user will leave. Does JC care? Not if that's what he has to revive the BlackBerry brand. Thorsten Heins tried it the other way around and he failed miserably.

lol you kind of proved the point in my previous post. I think there are a lot of Android users who would love a physical keyboard along with all options from your Android. If there are more of you than us BlackBerry 10 faithfulls, this could prove to be the savior of BlackBerry hardware as we know it.

I've kinda been saying this all along. Physical keyboard Android devices are an untapped niche, they literally don't exist at the moment. I truly believe a lot of Android users will give the Passport a shot. Just watch.
Agreed! And a lot of these Android users are ex-Blackberry users who jumped on the iOS-Android bandwagon because of all the possibilities. What if you bring those possibilities to BlackBerry with its iconic keyboard?
I do think BlackBerry should keep BlackBerry 10 alive for the loyal BlackBerry users who want the original BlackBerry experience and the extra layers of security.

All hail the JC for this!
Probably a bit early to say now, but what a CEO!!

I guess the days are numbered for the BlackBerry OS as we know it! Was recently thinking, now that Windows 10 has hit the market, how cool would it be to run a Windows 10 phone now. I know it cant be as good as BlackBerry Blend....or could it?
Blackberry Passport running 10.3.2.2339
On a smaller than tablet screen, you'll get the Windows Mobile 5.0 experience if you try that.
