    This is pure speculation...

If BlackBerry offered the chance to replace BB10 on your Passport by a simple download to install Android, would you do it? On specs alone, the Passport should handle Android very well. Naturally, it all depends on bootloader design and such.

    Would you do it?

Nope. I switched over from android to BB10 and it's been one of the best experience i ever had. I use but one android app (banking), so apps are not essential for me.

This is where I am at. I'm sure they can't get it 100%, but close enough could be good enough for me. If it feels like Android, then that's a major bummer. If BlackBerry can get the UI feeling more like the BB10 OS, then we have something.

I don't "do" phones. But yes I will entertain buying another PP with android, as long as it gets my job done.

I definitely would, especially if the hub features remained. I figure it might be a little buggy at first, but as long as they push out updates/fixes, it could be good.

Heck yes! I love the Passport form factor and I love BB10 when it works properly but the sluggish rate of development and bug fixes is making me miss Android. As long as I have the Hub and the fine-grained control over notifications, I'll be happy (and i'll have a working facebook app! omg!)

If I was asked this question a couple weeks ago, I probably would have said yes. However, received my passport on Friday, and have not downloaded a single android app. I came from an android phone, and I am loving BB10 and this phone. I don't think there is any reasonable reason for me to run android on my phone at this time.

That being said, I think it's good business to give people the option.

No, not on a 1x1 screen I wouldn't. Wouldn't rule it out on a more traditional smartphone aspect ratio.

I wont do the edge but the note with BB10 would awesome. Someone needs to leak some faked images of that and see what the media does.

I never get any advertising on BB,love it.do you think BB would get a free ride and not have advertising on the Android version? I don't think so.We're kinda spoiled, haha

No. And if BlackBerry 10 is truly done I'm unsure of what I'll do. I thought I'd be okay using Android, but the longer I play around with that OS, the less I like it. I hate iOS. And although I'm not a big fan of tiles, I'm starting to think I might find a windows phone the least annoying option remaining.

But I'm gonna use this Passport till it dies anyway, so, I won't have to worry until it self destructs.

Quite sure I'd do it IF the UX is on par.

I'm personally not on BB due to the OS. It's the hardware that does it for me... Specifically the PKB.

I'd be very very interested if an Android version with the Hub was available.

My biggest complaint with android has been the interface. If they copy the BB10 hub, keyboard, quick settings, notifications, quick share, etc... then I'm definitely on board. It would be nice to see BlackBerry Guardian scanning APKs from the Google Play store too, giving you that extra little assurance that things are on the level
