I doubt any of Android apps was designed for the PP's specific display format (rather quadratic than rectangular).
How do those apps present them on PP display?
Just a fraction of display surface in use, rest just black bars?

Is there any differences regarding this point between Android apps downloaded from Amazon and
    those running on Snap?

The forum search for answers to above questions didn't provide any reasonable results.

Most android apps are rather flexible by design, since there are so many types of Android devices. However the Passport has a very clever feature that allows you to zoom out if the app's controls are crammed, and to emulate a rectangular screen if the app really doesn't work on a square display (like certain games). Most apps end up looking very nicely on the Passport's massive display.

Where is that function? So far, I've only ran into one app that wouldn't format well to the 1:1 ratio. I didn't find an option to letterbox it.

It's been there since the last 10.3.1 leak:

In Andriod app you swipe down from top and it's the option on the right...

The zoom function, sure. But as Animal shows, changing the aspect ratio is a 10.3.1 thing.

    Yupp, only in 10.3.1

I'm refraining from moving to the leaks for 10.3.1 because the battery life just isn't the same as the official 10.3.0.

By the time 10.3.1 launches or maybe a little closer when the battery life gets better, I'll make the jump.

Just loving this full-day battery life despite my extremely heavy usage, not giving that up!

Battery life isn't really the issue. It's the slight lack of optimization with regards to the Passport's GPU that seems to cause flickering in certain situations. I though this latest leak would solve it, but I still see it from time to time.

That is a major annoyance too, but for me, battery is a big issue. During the day I'm not near any power sources most of the time and not able to cut back on my phone usage just because of battery concerns..

Are you saying the battery life isn't actually bad? Very heavy usage & 18 hours battery?
