    I've side loaded Snap from cobalt and never had an issue. Sideload using Google Chrome though.

    Just being bluntly realistic. Wouldn't want him to be disappointed If he goes for the Cobalt/Snap method and finds out the Android apps that he needs won't work satisfactorily.
