Hey Passport owners, with the inclusion of the Amazon App store (and the availability of Snap), I would love to hear more about how certain Android Apps run. I propose we use this thread for Crackberry addicts to request and post screen shots from Android apps!

My request? I want to know the app from Chess.com runs.

Also, if you want to play a great game (and post screen shots) Monument Valley is a beautiful and fun game on the Amazon app store that I'd love to recommend.

Do we expect the Android apps on the Passport to run any differently than on a Z30 or Z10 device? Because of the updated runtime, you're thinking it would run smoother? I don't have a Passport to try it on, but I hope someone can try the game you're after and let you know.

Need to drop epubs into device:/books don't find files on media card

Keyboard trackpad works to scroll text

Tumblr works well. It looks gorgeous on the Passport. The bubble with the post options moves out of the way when you scroll down. The app supports keyboard scrolling too.

Moon Reader works fine. The media card path is /sdcard/external_sd/

Only Android apps I use are SmartThings, Nest, and Plex (from the giveaway a few months ago on Amazon). They all run perfectly on the Passport, as they did on the Q10 and Z10 previously.

If you're talking about the mobile banking app (in the UK), I can tell you without a Passport that I won't run, unfortunately. The app recognises the Android Runtime as a "rooted device". The same applies for SkyGo and Virgin Anywhere.. etc.

Here's my working list of the apps I keep on my phone:

- Word Lens
- Feedly
- ESPN Fantasy Hockey
- Ghost Commander
- Waze
- Temple Run 2
- Dumb Ways to Die
- Sonos
- VLC
- Steam
- Destiny (companion app)
- Print Hammermill
- Amazon Appstore (though I use Snap instead)


Here's the partially working list:
- Clash of Clans (no single player access, no G play sign in)
- TSN GO (can't watch live TV)
- aTorrent (can almost never actually see the progress of the torrent)
- Pebble (works to sync and add games/apps/faces, but no notifications, use Talk2Watch Pro if you need that from BlackBerry world!)
- Netflix (wrong aspect ratio so it's narrow or you cut off the sides)
- MEGA (except you can't see progress of outside Web downloads)
