wondering, now that i see a couple of passport units with a problem in their screen, if you encounter any problem with your device, which company would provide you better customer service/warranty/resolution for the issue, Amazon or ShopBB?

carrier support is best i have insurance for 2 replacement phones simply 49.00 each event i can even run them over with my car. not shure u can do that with amazon or bb. depending on issue it all defalts to original warranty, amazon or bb u would have to mail it back does amazon send it to bb if so deal directly with blackberry.

I have dead pixels in my new passport, spent two hours on the phone with BlackBerry, since I bought it on shop BlackBerry, got lots of run around but was eventually successful in acquiring a advanced rma. They will ship me new passport before I have to send old one back, free of charge since they pay for all the postage

mmm... that's interesting... since it's all back ordered, i would say buying directly from bb it's better then, if you encounter a malfunction device... i may cancel my order with amazon now... mmmm
They told me it will be shipped to me within 3~4 business days, so I asked its all out of stock, how do they ship? they say it will be here in 3~4 business days, sounds like warranty issues have priority?
idk, could be that the rep was just reading you the chart (let me say something the customer wants to hear even when i have no idea if this is true hahaha)... obviously i do really hope that he/she was right and you will be informed in 3 or 4 days that your new PP its on its way... but i think that it is a better option to buy it from ShopBB... thanks for the input
oh well even if it doesn't arrive, I still have the one I have right now. the dead pixels are really not visible unless you go up close against the screen and really try and find it. there are other stuff I found today that I am not 100% happy about, such as the screen being slightly higher on right than left. also the pop off back cover isn't completely flush against the steel on the top. I find these faults unacceptable in a device that is premium.
oh, that's disappointing... i would return it if i were you, i agree it's not acceptable to have this kind of imperfections in a premium device... however, that could happen to any device so my suggestion would be to return it (since you already have the rma) to have an unit well finished... please, keep me update through this thread to see how you experience went with ShopBB... thanks and good luck
yeah I am returning it. first lady I spoke to said I have to refund and reorder, but I got the 25% off coupon, so reordering at $700 before tax makes me lose like almost $200...eventually got advanced RMA after almost 2 hours, which means I wont lose any money :D
