After checking the status of my Passport order multiple times since Thursday, it was to my suprise that the cost of the Passport from Amazon has increased to $699. You can see the sold by Amazon on the bottom right hand side of the image.

It is interesting to see whether BlackBerry Passport has so called price power or not.

I was going to order from Amazon this week but it looks like regular price is in action. I'm hoping they take that 100 bucks off again when I'm ready to pull the trigger. I'd rather not deal with Digital River unless I absolutely have to.

Yes it appears the very strong demand worldwide for the Passport and scarce supply from BlackBerry... the initial $100 discount from Amazon which was "temporary" is no longer... phone is Sold Out and on back order...

Even at $699 US, Still an awesome buy!

    From my amazing Passport

I really thinuk this is a product of supply and demand.. this is a coveted device and the interest is still seeing an uptick. You look at the iPhone 6+ and it's unlocked price at $950, this PassportSQW100-1/ is still a great buy at $699 and it's time for BlackBerry to cash in on a popular product.

Bermont: agreed. Blackberry has a big time winner with the Passport.

That is not the Amazon.com price.
Amazon will always show the lowest price of whoever is In-Stock.

Notice how it says "Ships from and sold by LittlePIggy_tech", but then on the right hand side it says "$699.99 Sold by: Amazon.com"

Chances are, Amazon is sold out, but this third party seller is not, hence the higher price.

Andrewforlife: other resellers have it much higher yes, BUT http://www.amazon.com/?t=crackberry0...UvbUpU11015778 now has it at $699 US, no longer offering the temporary $100 discount...

And it's Sold Out and backordered but you can order it... officially $699 US now....

Still a good price relative to other phones with comparable specs (i.e iPhone, galaxy note)
