So I downloaded a few apps and all I get is an installing message. The apps have been sitting like this for days and refreshing doesn't work nor does restarting the app or the phone... any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe a "cloud issue". Did you try loading one of those apps directly to your device?
p.s. Love the Dave Chapelle avatar.......Funny man!
It looks like an amazon issue.

Amazon Appstore's installing means downloading as well. It could be it's not available for the area. Something similar happened recently with a Pics Pro app - 'installing' for ages and then disappeared from the list, when I tried downloading from the page, it said not available for your area.
Even though Amazon App Store comes pre-installed I believe this setting still needs to be enabled.

Not sure if you've been able to download apps from Amazon before or if this is your first time but I'd try this.
I'm also not sure if the above setting wasn't enabled if you'd get a warning before it even attempted to install.
Hope this helps.

So turns out the app store is real particular about finishing a download and installing it right away. The app store ended up slowing down my phone so bad that I just did a security wipe. I was able to install the app once I let it download and install right away without multitasking.

Ouch?
As you have performed a security wipe, try multi-tasking now?
I can download and install multiple apps from Amazon Appstore just fine, even with BlackBerry World apps updating simultaneously.

The Amazon apps on my Z10 worked great until a few days ago when all I got was pop up saying "initializing" and then it crashed back to home screen. I removed the app and tried to install again, but I get the same pop up...
Any ideas?
Whoa, security wipe?? Overkill. All you need to do is clear the cache for the app store, or go into the apk folder manually and install it. I'm thinking they should sticky that advice, because it seems to be happening a lot

I am having a similar problem with 10.2 on my Q10. In my case, I also have apps that I uninstalled but are listed in Update and just keep trying to download but never do. I have other apps pending that won't install. And I have some I uninstalled but are still listed as on my device.

I had the same issue. Deleted the Amazon Cache files and it reset the install process. Thanks for the tip!

Where? I don't see that option in Settings.

Is this it?

Yup
What about 10.2? I can't find anything in the app or the proper cache folder in file manager.

Settings --> Storage and Access --> Device Storage details --> Amazon Appstore
Or
Settings --> App Manager --> Device Monitor --> (swipe left) Storage --> Amazon Appstore
I hope both these options are available on 10.2

They are but there is no option to delete just the cache. It wants to just delete the whole thing. The app was only 6 MB but I have another 58 MB now!

For those of you on 10.2 that can't clear the cache, you're best bet is to navigate to the folder with amazon apks and manually install them
You could also try looking at the app through Ghost Commander (found in snap or bbworld)
