Why do they need so many permissions to use it? Some of the permissions seem don't seem to be needed, and you can't change any permissions after you accept. I currently do not use it, just looking for some answers, thanks. Is Amazon a trusted company with privacy and user info.?

Trust is an interesting concept. Amazon looks as good as most today. No company is perfect. Like you I often choose not to use those apps.

Each app comes with its own terms and agreement, which I highly doubt that the majority of us would spend the time to read. It's up to the app developers with regards to what kind of info they collect and what they intend to do with that info. If you want to play it safe, stick to native Blackberry-owned apps?
