    It will get u there but don't count on it to navigate Manhattan. I had lots of problems using last weekend to get around while the marathon was on

    Yep all of these were turned off for sure. 4g-3g enabled for faster data screen brightness set at minimum and ur good to go!

    No it cant. U can not navigate or at least listening the audio voice if u are In standby mode. Standby its standby. When ur using the maps the screen never shuts off.

    Which is a good thing, as I have my device lock after a period of time. If I try to use Google Maps, the screen keeps blanking out and I have to turn back on... then eventually I have to unlock if I don't touch the phone for a while...

    iPhone can standby other apps and just have maps going or it was like that when I had one .

    You can shut your screen off and just listen to directions if you're so inclined. I do that on my Leap all the time.

    That would probably save a lot of battery power.
