    I don't get 4g signals on my passport??? Is there any setting issue or what??

    Hi, yes check Settings, Network and Connections, Mobile Network, Network Mode. Mine came pre-set for 3G and 2G only. Just had to change it to include 4G.

    Isn't this controlled by the carrier mobile data provider? In other words, the wireless connection you get from the towers?

    I have set to 4G and 3G and other also...the carrier has activated 4G on my connection and previously on iPhone I got 4G. But on passport I get only 3g and some times 4g is displayed.

    As far as I know, Airtel uses some nonsense TD-LTE frequencies cooked up by the Chinese.

    If you want LTE, find a network/city with actual LTE, or deal with HSPA.

    What was your fastest speed on the 4G network ?
    And if anyone knows what is the fastest speed that Blackberry Passport can provide as hotspot?
