Terrible battery. Medium usage and the battery fails to last even 10 hours. A standby of 7 hours (sleeping) takes away 10% of the battery. I guess I should downgrade back to 2576. How do I do that? Used sachesi to update. Do I simply drag the 2576 folder and uncheck newer files?

Also, how does everyone else find the battery with this OS?

I have noticed the processor getting hot on longer phone calls with this build. Heat isn't good for Battery Life.

I have to say I also have great battery life.

Have you tried a wipe? If you're willing to downgrade anyway, you might as well try a wipe first.

But I just got this! Also, a wipe would take away all the apps aswell, no? Those that were bought at discount or offers would have to be bought again for full price?
Also, coming back to this OS would have me install and upgrade the many OS leaks. As far as I understand, reaching here is a step by step process and coming to this OS directly would create problem (left over updates).

I had a similar problem with 10.3.1.2582 on my BlackBerry Passport - standby would use 10% battery life per hour! Standby reported battery usage around 80%.
This was after upgrading from 2267 to 2558 when it started, then upgrade to 2582 didn't fix it.

I ended up doing a full backup, and a destructive install of 10.3.1.2582 followed by a restore.
This fixed my problem. Now my battery drain is around 3% hour (mixed use) which is normal.

Once you bought an app, you do not pay for it again. (By the way, my Passport's battery averages a day and half with decent usage.)

Optimus can you please describe the process of the destructive install? Or just direct me to a link.

I experienced the same battery problem yesterday, right after loading 2582. It's back to normal today. I know it sounds weird but, as others would, I suggest you to wait for another day. A couple of hard resets may help.

That's normal. My passport does the same.
Let your passport settle for one week after the update. That's what I did. And your battery will be fine, set off your app run when minimize permission, remove some android apps that you don't use (if you have any).

I get each leaked OS and updated twice in one day not long ago. Since the results for individuals with the same phone and OS version seem to vary, I've developed a theory that seems to play out and might be helpful. BTW I am on 2582 now and had some high heat the first day but great battery life and no heat since then (Passport).

First, android apps suck the life out of a Blackberry. Make sure they are closed.

Second, when you upgrade the OS, especially with a leak, it is much better practice to do a hard reset and reload your apps from blackberry world or wherever you got them.

And it really does take some time for a new OS to "settle down", which really means updating and syncing everything.

I had an OTA update of 2576. I believe I'd want to go back to that. I constantly see that the android apps are closed (and they are) so that is not an issue.
The heating is new. The passport heats up when it is charging aswell.
I have done the hard resets twice today and installed 2582 the day it was released so it has been some time and if the OS were to settle, it should have.

So back to the original question: How can I go back to (preferably, get the official update choice of) 2576?

Go to this link. All OSes are here. They are autoloaders. Only way to go back is an autoloader. Find your autoloader (os+radio) link and you'll be good

AT&T Passport updated to. 2576 via Sachesi. Chose to stick with what BBRY was pushing directly to the unlocked devices.

Battery life is good as usual for me.....except Android games!

Yesterday, I downloaded a few of the Amazon giveaway apps. World of Goo burned 5% battery within a 5 minutes of play. Then I tried five nights at freddy's 2 and got the same burn rate.

Then the phone was running hot and with NO apps running, I saw the Android Player eating 38% CPU.

After uninstalling those two games, all is back to normal even without a restart. I tried playing another Android game Atomus HD and didn't notice the same weird issues.

Back to work - staying away from Android games.....

All the android apps I have installed are: Google maps (BlackBerry maps does not work in Pakistan), Youtube app (web-based youtube is still banned in Pakisatan) and google playstore. Literally that's it. Out of these, only youtube is used more and naturally burns the battery but my original post is more focused on the loss of battery without the use of these apps.

Oh and I have clean master. You reckon that could be the culprit? If so, any native or lighter task killer apps?
