Just received update notification for my BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition. Downloaded and installed 10.3.3.0463 800 MB. Finally BlackBerry!!! I thought they forgot about us OS10 users.

Wife Z10 to Z30 now, daughter got my old Z10 and me with the awesome Z30 and PPSE. That's how we roll baby!

If the phone was originally a carrier device, even if it's been unlocked to be used on another network, it's updates are still locked to that original carrier, and they are who push out updates.

That said there are plenty of people with factory phones that didn't get a update... Sachesi or an Autoloader at the direction you should go.... if you choose to update. I am on a Passport SE on 10.3.3.1435. I purchased the device unlocked from Shopblackberry.com. Would this be the latest OS that's officially available without doing the autoloader route? I am not very technically savvy so I don't fool around with that stuff.

I am hesitant to upgrade or even check for an update because of the rumored issues.

It looks like I just got offered this update for. 1463. I am hesitant to download as I am just on my way on a trip to Greece for an extended time. I don't want to have any issues with anything.

Do any other Passport SE users have any experience at all with this?

Many people complained about this update. I would recommend you not to update and to enjoy your holiday.
