I am now 5 days into my switch from iPhone to passport. I had previously failed to switch from iPhone to the Q10, but that was due to software issues, mainly the lack of apps problem.

10.3 is pretty damn good, and I think blackberry has finally got BB10 to where it needs to be. That being said, I think the changes in 10.3.1 will make it near perfect.

I am under the impression a descent 10.3.1 leak (or official) is not available for the passport? Does anyone have an educated estimate on when we can expect an official version, or care to comment on why we don't jave a stable leak yet, and if we might see a good leak soon?

I am looking forward to:
1. android portrait mode
2. custom profiles with color LED native
3. SMS unicode emoticon support

Worth noting, is that I don't like using emoticons personally, but other people (especially females) tend to use them frequently. They can be useful on occasion (the emoticons) and more importantly I would prefer to never have to explain to an iPhone user that "my blackberry can't do that", regardless of how trivial the feature may be to some people.

Also, with SNAP installed, I haven't encountered a situation where I can't find an app equivalent vs. my iPhone. Access to the google and amazon app stores is a game changer for me. While the email and keyboard aspects of the passport and (BB in general) are the most valuable, it's obviously better to have the option to install whatever social media app you like. Don't even give people a reason to reach for that iPad, don't even look at it!

Actually i find that most 10.3 leaks doesn't have good battery.
Tried all of them and only 10.3.0.1130 gave me good battery.
I'm now on 10.3.1 with 801 radio and got the good batterij life back.
To bad, there are e few glitches but i'll take them just because the battery life is amazing + the possibility to customize almost everything.

I can only hope that the official 10.3.1 comes soon en works really smooth.
It is possible that this wil release on 13th november.

The camera software is in desperate need of a rebuild. This is my only complaint so far, emojis maybe but I'm happy without them.

I'm sorry i'm on the z30.
If you search the forum for BlackBerry os10 archive you will find a thread with a huge archive of different os for all the BlackBerry
It was a huge effort from thurask i think. Which i'm still pretty thankfull for!

Which os are you running and do you have any exp with sideloading?

The highest leak you can use is 10.3.1.634.
Radio is availebla for passport from os 10.3.1.938.

It was a huge effort from thurask i think. Which i'm still pretty thankfull for!

10.3.1.632 OS for the passport not up to par. Battery life sucks and touchscreen issues. Wait for a better leak or official. i just went back to OS 10.3.0.1418 .The custom profiles with color LED is great. But i can wait it out for a more stable 10.3.1 release.

That spreadsheet is helpful. What's the difference between the OS and the radio? how do I know what is compatible?

Note that recent 10.3.1 leaks have broken IKEv2 VPN support; if you use that (I do, heavily!) stay away for the time being. They'll fix this for sure, and I like 10.3.1 a lot (on my Z10) but on my new Passport I'm staying on 10.3.0 for right now.

Always keep in mind

- every 10.3 os is compatible with every 10.3 radio BUT this only counts per device. So z10 radio does not work on q10.
Example : 10.3.0.1154 os for z30 is compatible with 10.3.0.1131 radio, 10.3.0.1155 radio all if the radio's are for rhe z30.
You can make a lot of hybrids (i made 4 today). If you need some help you can ad me on bbm 2B5B8B6C

- you cannot combine 10.3 os with 10.3.1 radio and 10.3.1 os with 10.3 radio.

So make sure you pick the right os for the right phone and the right radio for the right phone.
There are a LOT of combo's possible
