Will I be able to sync my corporate email (microsoft exchange) with the p9981 if my company doesn't have BlackBerry license?

Yes you can, Ask your IT admin to give you assistance and configure the handset settings.Namely you need to just set it up like any other standalone email on your phone.
By BlackBerry license am assuming your are referring to latest BES12 which is cross platform IT policy implementation while keeping ANY brand of phone covered and secured under corporation and it's scope is much wider than just setting up an email. BES12 is not the same old license that we know of from java based OS7 days. Your p9981 runs BB10 OS based on QNX and it works just like any other smart phone and is not depended upon Blackberry License like earlier days of OS7.

Yeah, I just read it again and caught that. He must be referring to p9982 or p9983.
