I have a blackberry classic I bought from Amazon factory unlocked carrier is AT&T.
When I try to update the software (the alerts are annoying and I would settle for the alerts just going away completely forever) I get the error message ....

An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your Internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists.

That's it...no error number or anything else...I have a screenshot if needed. I have tried to install via blackberry link and directly from the Internet, and have tried a few workarounds that people say have worked for previous OS's i.e. manually registering a .dll

I have currently software release 10.3.1.1779 and OS version 10.3.1.2576
And the update says I need 10.3.2.516 and it is about 1.6 gigs...

Help! The error kicks in at about 14% downloaded...cable is securely plugged into phone and computer...computer is clean and fast...also ran c cleaner...blackberry classic has a fixed battery so I cannot remove it to wipe the cache...

    Help!!

Try resetting your phone by holding the Up and Down volume keys until the BlackBerry logo appears. Then try updating again.

Try a hard reset by holding the volume up and down buttons in together until you see the blue loading circle , then try the update.

You may be right as I know that's what the passport does, but my Z30 and Q10 you hold until you see the loading circle.
