Dear All,
With the new game Chopper up for sale at a throwaway price of $0.99, we are now ready with a beta for our next game - Atomix!
Atomix takes place on playfield and consists of a number of walls, with the atoms scattered throughout. The goal is to assemble a molecule from the atoms; the atoms must be arranged into a specific shape, identical with the shape of the molecule displayed on the right side of the screen.
We want to test run this app for different device types and OSes. In case you are interested in trying a pre-release game, please post below your device model and full OS version so that we can get the ball rolling. I think we will start with a small group (maybe the first 15 to reply) for private beta.
Must say, was a tad disappointed to only have access to the first level.
Couple things I notice:
The font/background color of the help and scores screen makes it decently hard to read, on a small screen. Suggest using colors or shades with a little more contrast.
Also, the number 10 in the high scores screen is off center. Not a biggie
The game is fun and slightly trickier than anticipated! Look forward to further testing game-play.
From a torch perspective and looking at the game... I keep expecting it to be touchscreen (without having to use the arrows below) tbh...
If it was landscape and the boxes were larger and everything was touch controlled it would feel more natural (and translate to the S2 easier).
I really agree with this.
It's a great game and I have no problems with it, but I feel rather limited by my inability to use the touchscreen. I haven't noticed any glitches. Good work overall!
Dear Beta team members,
Version 1.22 of Atomix has been uploaded.
Please install this version from the regular beta location and let me know your feedback.
Any chance of getting this registered for those of us that plan on providing feedback? Might be able to give more advice about the most important aspect of the the program, game play, if we had access to more than the first level.
I think the misalignment of numbers varies by whatever font you choose for your Blackberry, because mine has many more misaligned numbers than in the picture posted by Spiral_out, but they are still easy to read and it doesn't bother me.
As much as I really wish I could just use the touchscreen I think it makes it much more competitive having to use the touchpad. Anyone can press on the screen and swipe quickly, but there's a learning curve behind the touchpad that adds an extra element of screen.
