I am gonna put this on my phone.My husband was big in MTG in the early days-sold his stuff and decided about 6 months ago to get back into. Now it seems he is more into collecting but that is more b/c we haven't found a good group to play with yet. I am totally new to it but did play in a FNM release tournament or something like that. We were pretty up to date until about Nov and have taken a breather through the holiday but I have a feeling we will be back in a few. There is a store nearby but just haven't been back to their events in a few months.Thanks for posting.

No we played in October I think-that was the one before? It was fun-and I think as spring comes and we are up for venturing back out to the shop that has these things we will go again. Some how the newest release snuck by my husband but I am sure we will be getting to it soon! I will let you know how it goes

Zendikar, I think. That's actually right around the time I started playing. I know how it is with finding a decent group of people, I just tend to play with my buddies that got me into it. The group of us is only 7 or 8 people, but we have fun

I got pretty lucky with this last release, one of the boosters I got, had two mythic rares in it, that the local shop by me is buying for $15 and $35. I'm pretty sure I used up all my luck getting that pack, lol. Too bad I like both the cards, so I didn't sell em :P

Yeah-Zendikar is the one I played in. I am still learning. We are trying to get together with some of his cousin's to play-its just for fun. we are more non-tournament types. I know we have the cards to make the decks you need to play against others but he has some in the works that are not tournament ready or whatever its called.

Cool you got some good cards-it seems their worth only gets better if they are good cards. We have been doing more of the "collecting" as of late but want to get back to playing-so I can learn! lol

Been playing since Legends 1994 and only stopped Once in 03, after darksteel and picked up in 06 time spiral. Im one of the higher ranked members in my city, shooting for state and i attend many grand prix and planning on pro tours.

A little tip for this app if you are still into modifying. For the life counter, try adding a life total for you and opponent being how in tournament play, you watch your opponents life as well for strategy sake, as well as making sure they are not cheating or miss a life total change.

Also, 2HG is 2 headed giant and that is life total 40, split between 2 players. would be hard to manage on an app but very possible.

Hey man! This app is awesome! i only have one recomendation... is it possible to make the Life total bigger? so that its possible for the opponent to see it. maybe make it half of the page then have the buttons for the extra's along the bottom.

Thanks for this. I've been hoping someone would make this app for a long time. It works smoothly on a Storm using the keyboard but the touch screen seems to confuse it -- I think it's trying to interpret the touch screen inputs in terms of a track ball. I'm commenting mainly to echo the sentiment above regarding making the life total larger and also to ask if there is a way to add a second life counter to track my opponent's life.

Nice simple app, I'm loving it but definitely could use some work. Thanks for effort.

Here are somethings I would like to see in it, if possible. (I'm using Bold9700)

- Token counters: would look something like what you have for "Amount to Change" Instead the "Amount to change" would be text entry for Token name : #
- Space out the + and - button
- Life counter for opponent
- Use more of the screen, Enlarge texts and add some content.

So I've been a bit busy lately, but I've got some time in the next few days or so to work on the suggestions you guys have posted. (It would help if I knew the BB API a bit more!)

Foberry: I too just recently got a Bold 9700, so I should be able to work more closely to fixing that too. The screen resolution is so much different than what I was working on, and that changed the spacing terribly (because I have everything set as a fixed position), so I've got to come up with something cunning to make it sexy on as many devices as possible.

Ry_Ry: Yeah, Opponents life total is a great idea, and since you and others suggested it (plus I saw some droid apps/iphone apps that did it as well), I think that, and making the numbers larger is gonna be my next goal. Though, about 2HG: The life total works differently now. I think they changed it originally in M10, but again in the last two months. Now you start with a shared total of 30, and when spells need to know a certain player's life total, it uses a 'clone' of the shared total, then whatever effect happens to that player (loss or gain of life) happens to the team. :]

FacelessButcher: I'll see what I can do about the storm issues! (Hopefully if I can get the API I have to update, then I'll actually be able to run it on the Storm Emulator, and will be able to get it to behave somewhat correctly!)

3) copied extracted folder to SD card
4) run jar file from the SD card

(I resorted to 3 and 4, because my BB desktop manager didn't recognize the app, so I couldn't add it that way.)

Hello, I don't have a 8520 to test on, but you should try to run the jad file instead. That works on my BB.

Thanks!! Using the .jad didn't work either, but it gave me another clue that led me to the solution. My BB needed to be upgraded to v5.0. Everything is fine now!!

You could use the spreadsheet application. There are some basic freebies around, if not on Crackberry, the moderators can find quickly. Reply to me if you need me to locate it. If you don't need column headings; each line is numbered. Place a 'x' in column A for your first count, going down. Column B for 2nd, and so on.

I'm having difficulty trying to download the MtG app from Chestersson. There is no ALX file to put it down for the Desktop Manager, and I have no idea how to install this... not even on the SD card.

Is it possible for a ALX file to be produced? Or, can anyone please help me on a step-by-step process of how to install the app?

My device is a 8900 Edge and I have the 5.0 software.
