- Soooo I installed this on my 9700 in place of another Hybrid (OSBB 706v2.5) 3 days ago and I am totally satisfied and surprised. First, the battery life is fantastic. I am at 30% now, which is so far 32hrs later from taking it off the charger. Yeah the first discharge went relatively quick do to a bunch of installs, restarts, etc... I used to have to charge every night before I went to bed so this is reallllly cool. Maybe I won't replace my 2yr old battery just yet like I planned on doing. During the first discharge from full charge I did notice it hang at 40% charged, but I restarted the phone and this fixed that problem and it has not done that since... Other than that little blip, the OS has been smooth, quick, and I have not encountered any bugs whatsoever. ... I was not used to the text messages icon in the mailbox being the same as the email icon in the mailbox, but I am cool with it. Takes like 10min to get used to, ha. Also, the text messages that you have not replied to are a dot icon now in the mailbox - weird. Is this new to OS7 or something? Its cool tho. I will continue to use this until I finally get a BBX phone later in the year. Thank you so much.

- I have been using hybrids since about 2008 as they are usually much better than official operating systems. Unfortunately, however, I have not had much luck with this hybrid so far. There are three main problems: 1) it hangs up quite a lot and I have to battery pull, 2) some applications unexpectedly quit and give an error, and 3) the battery life is much worse than it was on the previous os I had installed.
This, by no means, claims that this is a bad hybrid. I'm going to re-install it and hopefully this time it'll be better. Hybrids are all about hit and miss, from my experience. They sometimes work great for some while not so much for others, it's all about luck.
Thank you very much, xstaff, for your hard work. I must say, though, that the hybrid is pretty fast.04-20-12 03:20 PMLike 0 - I have been using hybrids since about 2008 as they are usually much better than official operating systems.
