    i'm just wondering how much data windows live messenger & BBM use i'm going to be leaving Canada for a trip to Boston and i would like to use my msn and BBM while i'm away but don't want to have a huge bill when i come back home

    Telus charges $3 per MB, but i'm looking into getting a US Data Pass $10 $1 per MB Savings start after 5 MB but i would like to know is it worth be adding the $10 pass on or no thanks for any info

    i wont be using anything else besides msn and bbm no internet or fb

    The issue is granularity, the miminum amount of data that the carrier counts for billing.

    I my case, Rogers, International data has a 2Kb granularity. Every message I send, includeding a , will accumulate the mimimum data charge.

    The good news is, that is enough for 500 messages sent or recieved in 1 Mb. That works out to a couple pennies per message.
