    It's been crippled by dropped services ala BB announcements a year or so ago. Several functions of the assistant were scheduled to be eol. Somewhere here on Forums there is a list of functions that have been pulled.

    Many of the BB Assistant's features relied upon a third-party service that BB licensed. Given that BB left the smartphone business and the phones are EoL, they did not renew the license, and those features were cut off when it expired.
