I just unlocked my keypad and a message popped up telling me there was a software download for BBM available and gave me the option to get/copy address. I clicked "get" and was taken here :http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=bbm
Why in the world would a link be pushed to my Tour telling me BBM is available for 4.0 and 4.1??

Sorry I guess this is kind of old news, I thought they'd have this fixed by now and I've never seen a popup like that. I didn't even go into BBM to get this message. Guess it's the same bug.

A lot of people have been experiencing this but when they click the link nothing happens. Most people seem to think that RIM is getting ready to release an update to bbm and somehow a notification accidently got released to a handful of people.

I got the same thing when I opened BBM today. Read about this a couple of days ago so it didn't surprise me when the link was bad.
