    Just got a new 9700 and blackberry messenger is now called blackberry pin ! Wtf ?

    BBP doesn't have same ring!

    They are two different things.

    Blackberry Messenger is what it is. You will see this when you have a contact linked to a messenger contact.

    Blackberry PIN is kind of like email...using the PIN as the address. It doesn't work quite the same as messenger.

    I have heard of this happening to some people. No idea why though. But if it's working then I wouldn't worry too much

    It was called BB Pin when I had it at a random spot on my homescreen. As soon as I moved it so it would be on the start up screen, it (for some reason) WAS called BB Messenger... weirdness
