App world is super slow on my 9810. Either it takes forever loading or the damn pinwheel keeps on popping up. Makes for an overall crappy experience.

And on desktop broswing app world via browser is slow as **** too!

    Watsup with this?

I don't know but I agree! Takes forever to search and preview apps. Downloading takes a long time too.

Coming from Android Market, I can see a huge difference!

This is the most annoying thing about app world, soo slow considering lots of the apps are quite small!

I agree as well but so is downloading which is 10x slower. I find this very annoying and I thought the new processors would get rid of all this but I guess I was wrong

yep its something to do with Appworld and not the phones.
I can browse the web fast upload/download quick, but
when I go to app world its like Im in slow motion.
Something is def up with the app store.
Weird though cause if I actually download an app
    its quick mere seconds.
    maybe 3.1 will fix this.

its been one of the slowest apps ever since it was introduced. They have never got the coding down for it. In all fairness the market app on my android can also be slow at times.

Nah, there's no explaination, you're talking ****. App World has always been slow, since my 9000, it has been nothing but pain. Sometimes a screenshot will load, sometimes not, sometimes an app icon will load, sometimes not. Is nothing but hassle.

I recently went back to a BB from a Droid, and I'm glad to see it's not just my BB acting funny. App World runs really slow on my 9650. I'm sure they'll improve it, but for now it's a lot easier to browse the online version using my laptop!

They should have a feature were you can send the app to your BB from desktop broswer--just like in Android Market

I did notice a slow down during the playbook sale period. Otherwise it usually runs pretty well.

I find AppWorld to be painfully slow, and always have. More so on my Palybook.....takes forever just for it to connect and open......I am starting to think that the little green circle is actually my wallpaper!

The reason appworld is slow is because it uses your BIS connection.

I find on my BB Playbook that App World is really fast. I have had no issues with it since day one. Guess I will find out if App World is slow on my BB phone when I get it. I hope they fix it by then.

App world takes a bit to open on my PB... once it's open, it's quick, but the initial cache loading of the images on the site takes a long time and pops up the spinner (of course, I can do 10 other things on the PB while I'm waiting...)

App World in my 9900 is somewhat slow, but for me, the real issue is with the PlayBook's version. App World in there is ultra laggy, slow and the native icons of the different categories won't load... Hope OS2 fixes this...

If you say app world isn't slow on a BlackBerry phone it's because you never tried iPhome or Android app markets.

It's funny that the market with the least amount of apps is the slowest!

Hopefully BB10 changes both speed and content.
