You need to go to your respective vendor related sites to setup your BIS (hotmail, yhoo, gmail). Follow the link from the earlier post. To setup BES you need to install Desktop Manager on your PC and point the IP address to your company BES server. I'm sure there is some detail step by step How To if you use search function.
i cant log on to sprints BIS website. i had my password sent to my phone but i dont think i can remember my username. is there any way to have it sent to me or changed or something?
Call your cell phone service provider. I discovered that the reason I had trouble was that when I bought my storm my acct was activated, but it was never set up. When I tried to log on, it wouldn't let me; when I tried to set up an acct, it said one was already set up! The gal at Verizon, set it up with me on the phone...voila! (Now I just have to remember which userid and password I used....)
what do i do if i bought the phone from someone off of ebay? i obviously don't know his login info, but now i can't get a login to set mine up!! ahhhh!!!

Hello there! I will like to know how did you solve your problem, Im in the same situation but I dont have any clue of who is the last owner because Im in ecuador and a friend got the phone on ebay.
Assuming you need an unlock code to travel abroad, call *611, opt 3, ask for global services, tell them you're going be be traveling abroad and need an unlock code. If they don't give it to you, with instructions, on the phone, they'll email it to you post-haste. Worked great for me and didn't cost a dime.
This should help:
Please see his post on page two #16, cannot post url's yet
So if I go ahead and use this method to allow access to BIS for verizon by creating a username, is there any way to continue to access email (blackberry.net) on bb without need for log in?
If no, how often does one have to log in?
If I go thru the CS for verizon to "reset" my access to bis as I created my account on the bb, will there be need to log in via bb once I have bis access?
Hello everyone maybe I am completely off base here but I have read the whole thread and have a couple questions.
Do I have to have a data plan to get e-mail?
Is the BIS service an extra service that has to be paid for?
8520 Curve on T-Mobile USA
First BB still exploring.
Thanks AJ

Yes.
Under T-Mobile plans prior to October 25, 2009 your BIS service will cost $24.99/month for domestic unlimited email & web with free tethering, for $34.99/month it's the same plus unlimited domestic texting. On the new Get More & Get More Plus plans you'd change your plan to add BIS (+ web), prices vary based on the plan.
