    I am an experienced BlackBerry user, and use BBM daily with a friend.
    Today, I see that Monday night, a strange new contact appeared in BBM.
    I did not authorize/approve this contact.

    The name is: (crown)JOS3 M16U3L(crown)
    Next line: (happy face) El 3MEN2 (beer)
    PIN: 207D3206
    The picture is the word "Love" spelled with a gun, hand grenade, knives, and something else.

    I did not get any strange emails, but it seems this person somehow added themself to my contacts without my permission.
    Any idea how it got there?
    How concerned should I be?
    I intend to delete the contact, but I am waiting to make sure I have all the info I need, just in case.

    I have a BlackBerry Bold 9780, about a year old, with version 6.0 software.

    It was a new BlackBerry, so any additional software (not much) was put on by me.

    Maybe someone scanned your pin barcode somehow? I knowi t doesnt ask for permission when you use a barcode..
