Why is it taking RIM so long to come out with a webkit browser? I ask that question as both an investor in RIMM and a user of blackberries.

Everyone else has one..Palm, Google, Apple. What is the deal with RIM taking so long? Even the new Blackberries coming out..like the Tour2 will not have one.

They are falling way behind on the browsing experience.

    Interested in comments.

Software development takes time.... And if they rush it, there is always a chance of lawsuits because they left breaches people can exploit with the good old "we copy righted that"!

As an investor, I don't think you'd like that...

How come Skyfire is taking so long getting their browser out of private Alpha/Beta and into our hands also? It is because adapting a desktop browser to give a real internet experience on a small screen with less horsepower is not an easy task. I am sure this is something they want working right before they release it. Leaks will probably start coming before the middle of the year so be patient.
