For many reasons - which I feel dont need to be discussed - I am in the market for an email only machine. Rather like the peek devices of a few years ago. So I've been wondering if anyone else uses an os7 device purely for email on a data only plan? If so how do you find battery life with data on but telephone off?

Currently I am using 2 BB devices.
Z10 and Curve 9320. I use 9320 for email purpose. Battery lasts almost 2 days with single charge. I have 5 email accounts ( 2 MS exchange, 1 Gmail, 1 Yahoo mail and 1 hosted email account)
Put all together I receive almost 100+ emails per day.
When i was using Active sync account on Android device, battery does not even last for 5 hours.
Only drawback with BBOS device is it does not sync all folders ( Sent and other user created folder).

I am from India and there is no contract for any device here.
I had purchased unlocked device and the plan cost is 399INR (6.7$) per month. Which provides 10+1 email, unlimited browsing, IM, All application access except youtube.
There is one more plan here which is Lite 299 INR( 5 $) PM. Which provides 10+1 email and IM ( Gtalk, YM, AOL messenger BBM etc)
With my service provider ( Idea cellular) these is most cost effective plan which is 129 INR( 2$ PM) which give 1GB data. ( Same as 399 plan but caped to 1GB).
