For those who have already made the jump, would you recommend to going ahead and upgrade or wait for the early bugs to get fixed....
I read through most of the 32-page thread on the upgrade and it seemed maybe it was a 60/40 crowd, with 60% being happy and 40% not happy. Just throwing a number out there.
I'm really looking forward to the threaded SMS, but wondering if I should wait for a little while.
To me it was worth the upgrade when .230 came out and will not go back to a 4.X build. If you think the newer features are worth it then upgrade, but if not you can always go back to 4.7.
I would wait till the bugs are out. I switched back to 4.7 earlier because it took forever to connect to the net. Then when it did I could not click on anything. I dont care how many times you clicked onto something it would not register.
I say...go for it.
I'm on BES and used DM to do the upgrade.
It was done in about 30 minutes. Took a few minutes for the Enterprise Activation to run, and about 23 minutes to re-arrange my icons and get my third party apps reconfigured.
Performance is much better. Threaded SMS is cool. Stock themes are more flexible. It won't kill you.
Performance is much better than what? Of course its better than 4.7
I already have threaded SMS with the .419 that I'm currently running. I realize it won't kill me but honestly what is it going to do for me that 419 doesn't do besides PTT also if you've never ran .419 then u can't answer that last question.

Took me about 30 minutes each to update a couple of phones with no issues at all. Very happy with results. Have BES @ office and BIS on personal tour, both worked without problems.

I have been LOVING 5.0 for nearly half a year. It's a no brainer to jump to 5.0. First of all there's official 5.0 releases out there so even the beginner berry owner has nothing to worry about. I HIGHLY recommend using a hybrid. It basically takes the best files from multiple OS releases and puts them all into one MEGA OS!
