Hey guys, just had a question about threaded SMS coming up in the new software update. What exactly is threaded SMS?

Its having all your messages under a persons name and seeing all the messages at once like a msn conversation instead of the blackberry does it now

That screen shot looks like the threaded SMS you get from 3rd party app EmpowerSMS...I know because I just downloaded the trial app yesterday off CB.

They're wanting an actual BB threaded SMS screenshot, not of a 3rd party app as an example of what threaded SMS looks like.

Some need to chill out on questions being repeated more than a couple of times. Give the noobs a break!

Niiiiice! Now I want a Tour! Although I do have to say I am happy with the 3rd party app until it becomes a regular OS standard on all BB's.

I doubt it will. Only OS5+, which a lot of the older devices are not going to see. But moving forward, anything will have OS5+ anyways.

I'm very happy with the EmpowerSMS. You can change background colors, font colors, wallpaper for the SMS, and its THREADED!

I always tought the current SMS app was "Threaded" couse you have like a history of messages, guess I was wrong but can't see a real difference, except from the way it's showing

That's not the actual threaded sms implimented in the updated OS. That's a pic from the threded sms app you can buy at the app store... n it looks pretty tacky if I do say so... can't wait to see the one RIM actually releases
