Quick question: can I choose not to install the additional apps? Or they are marked in the installator as required by system, thus impossible to 'untick'?
yes you can uncheck the apps

Okay I'm lost. I downloaded and got to the screen where the hyrbid loaded into the base OS. But how do I get it to my phone. Do I just run the app loader or what? I'm lost.

You have to modify the app' "*.alx" file. Open that file with notepad, search the keyword TRUE, replace by FALSE. Then re-open the Loader, Untick the app

One thing right off the bat. When connected via wifi, I am not connected to the BB service. Only over the mobile network. Do you know what COD's control the switching, and I'll patch them.

Friend I have the same problem with the wifi and BIS ... It seems to only happen with the 9800.
    Thanks,

I am now in the midst of installing it on a 9780 .534 base instead of .526 base. Will it cause any problems? I just renamed the file path.

never mind. it didnt work. I'm now using a .526

EDIT: Meh! I quickly deduced that it didnt work when I didnt see the 6.1 icons. So now Im not sure if it works on a .534 base. I'm assuming it does?

Can somebody pls comment on battery life and memory leak ? I am using .534 for 9700 and not so happy with battery life. 1.5 day in 3G mode. 10-12mb a day memory loss. Is it worth to switch to this hybrid ?

Could this be theme-related? If you are using a third-party theme then theirs are the icons you will be seeing.

1st impression: awesome.. but still monitoring this hybrid.. but only 1 thing bugs me..

finding #1: my gps location didnt work on google maps (but just fine on BB maps). but it (google maps) still can be accessible (working perfectly) if and only if connected via wifi. so.. any solution?

    EDIT: problem solved!

yeah. The first time I installed on the .534 base, I didnt know that the 6.1 icons were on a separate theme. hence, I quickly thought this didnt work on a .534 base. haha

    well done, good release.
I've only an issue on 6.1 theme: my gmail icon isn't changed (I've the generic email icon of 6.0).
the others are just upgraded to 6.1 classic email icon.

free memory (base): 75mb (some apps installed like whatsapp, waze, telmap, gmaps, etc)
memory leak (after 10hours): -3.1 (really good)
    total ram memory: 143mb
    free ram memory: 115mb

The 6.1 icons are on another theme. You have to go to the display settings to change the theme.

It seems to be a pretty small download file. How many COD's are replaced from the base OS?
is only hybrid cods to make a very small package

My device was suddenly reset last night when I was surfing the internet. And a while after reset, all my video files cannot be played because of 'error supporting video format'. So do Youtube videos. Anyone faced these problems before?

Very solid, almost no memory leak, battery not sure yet but seems OK. Installed without any problem and 6.1 icons are great. Its really fast.
