Sprint Navi 2.8 just bricked my Tour (4.7.1.57). It's a good thing I kept .230 in App Loader from when I had installed in my last Tour. I've been saving it for a special occasion. I guess today is the today I reload 5.0.0.230 LOL

Uninstall 2.1 and reboot. The shortcut to download Sprint Navigator will take you to the download page for 2.8

Has anyone gotten Telenav to work properly for the Sprint Tour running OS 5? If so, which version (the # is different on App World and from the OTA site)? Got Sprint Nav working, but prefer Telenav. Thanks

Good to know - I was waiting for Sprint's official release of OS5 for my Tour #5. Since Navi now works, I have no reason not to install .230 today, since I have to unbrick the phone anyways.

DAGONE....you should be a bit less lazy and get off your **** and make the call. How the **** do you think I got this????

The link was sent to me by SPRINT via text this morning when I called in and asked if there was an updated version.

IT IS THE OFFICIAL SPRINT BRANDED VERSION 2.8. The OTA download appears to actually come from the Telenav site.

So if someone feels it's not real...that's your problem folks

I had been running the BellCA version on my Tour with 5.0 but it all of a sudden stopped working.

Just call sprint and have them send the link to you directly...it was all of a 3 minute call.

It is version 2.8 whereas the previous version was 2.1

Naysayers who don't know what reality is really fry my ****.

2.8 has been available for CURVE for awhile (back when i had a curve and was running .238 on it and telenav 2.8), looks like i can move up to the 5.0
    hybrid now....

do NOT use this link! it installs a non-sprint branded telenav that has the same "gps is set to off" problem as sprint nav 2.1 - use the link in the third post. thanks op.

My concern is that misinformation could turn others away from a potentially useful upgrade.

im running 7.11 too, and dl'd sprint nav again earlier today before i saw this post and so far so good. if anyone is having problems, just delete sprint nav off your phone and resend service books if necessary to get the link back on the phone.. re-download it and you should be good to go.
