this is a second day i used v6 ... i've no problem with this version except wifi...
i can't browsing via wifi..there is no option on browser configuration..
please help mee..
thanks
hai there meteo odiner kaskus.....well i actually found the same issue here. i couldn't find wifi on browser configuration...the rest is just the best by far...been using this for 2 days now
I like this hybrid a lot. It still doesn't hold EDGE in all of the 3rd party apps, but the typing and screen click are the best that I have seen.
The .451 that just leaked a few days ago is not good in my opinion. My bottom buttons kept getting stuck. I had to constantly pull the battery. I think this OS better than V5 as well.
the top lock button is insanely good in this hybrid version!
however, the beiks keyboard lock app i had installed to auto-lock the keyboard after a specified duration no longer seems to be working. anybody else even use this, and if so, notice these results as well?
battery life for me has been terrible with this build and every other i have tried.Battery life really comes down to use of your phone. If you use it hard, you will have to recharge soon, very soon. I dont care what OS you are running
Last night i downloaded .451 and then took the Java from Seans v6 and installed it. Battery life still sucks but everything else is about the same as seans hybrid with .428. Browser still rocks. I still say .442 browser cod's are the fastest of any cod's out there. .442 cods are what sean used in this build (v6).
I have most every hybrid downloaded on my laptop and my wife and i have been playing with all the builds, even she says the OS i have loaded for her with the .442 browser cod's are the fastest.
After watching the you tube video yesterday of the new webkit browser i have determined my browser (on wifi) is just as fast, with the .442 cod's of course.
Yes. V6 runs over .451 and quite well. Not sure what the battery issue is with some. I have over 60 apps installed and have found about 5% an hours is my discharge rate. That's half of what I had.
Although the lock button is insanely fast, it completely bypasses the lock screen
which indicates that its just a cheap way to fix a problem that is technically still there.
Awesome Hybrid! My battery life after 4 bat pulls is at 0.8%/hour with little use. I have not had tto charge my battery at all today. That was not the case when I used .451 with no changes. I am glad I decided to dump the 451 java files and replace it with v6. I do not plan on upgrading unless this is improved. Thank you for the extremely better battery life!!
sorry for the rookie question, but how do i Simply unzip this file and replace "your current JAVA with this JAVA" ?.......
Program files>Common files>research in motion>shared>loader files>
Then you will click your operating system folder and you should see two more folders on will be "CDMA" and the other wiill be "Jave", delete the "Java" folder and replace it with with THIS JAVA FOLDER.
Then use apploader to load the new Operating System up. be sure to backup with desktop manager, and bbsak for your 3rd party apps first if your going to wipe your phone before install.
After the 1st 12 hours on this hybrid, loving the screen clickability and response to apps, battery is holding strong...I unplugged on a full charge last night around 11p.m. and woke this morning at 8a.m. and it had only dropped 5% (this is the 1st actual full charge on this new hybrid) so i'm expecting only greater results....Loving V6.1
