My IMAP account has started to run slowly again, I think this is related to the BIS losing its IMAP IDLE connection (for push email). The normal fix is the delete my account from BIS and then re-add it; apparently this forces BIS to set up a new link and restore IMAP IDLE capability. However, when I do this I lose the ability to respond to old messages already on my blackberry - the phone thinks the re-added account is brand new and deactivates the folder with my old messages and adds a new folder for my new messages.
Is there a way to delete/re-add my account without losing these old messages?
