I got myself a 9900 bold and also got one for a friend that I support. Friends phone is stuck in enterprise mode and have tried reseting it with the desktop software and that did not seem to make a difference.
Any ideas?

Had exhausted my own searches.
Hard to believe this IT policy:
Blackberry Domain -> Global Properties -> IT Policy -> Security Policy group -> (3/4ths the way down), "Secure Wipe if Low Battery"
That must be some kind of CIA policy: if agent is dead then secure wipe since s/he won't be charging it anymore. lol
Ssshhh or your recovery will be short lived.... the walls have ears
