About 3 weeks ago I got my new 9700. This is my first BB, and I'm loving it so far. Today I started using the BBM, but I haven't been able to find the answer to my question.

Where does BBM save your chats? (both current and history)
Does it save it on device memory, or on my memory card? Thanks in advance

Any open chat will also be displayed in you general messages folder. If you "end chat" I don't think the phone saves any record of it.

It saves the chats where you instruct it to. Either in device memory or on the SD card. It depends on where you select and if you have chats being set. They are not set to save by default.

Thanks very much for that information. So as long as I don't save a history, I wouldn't have to be concerned about BBM stealing my memory. Wonderful

It would not take up device memory anyways. At least not application memory. It saves to the extra device memory used for storage.
