Ok if they wont support the QNX why would they make them and have them only be out for yr or less then bring out QNX? hmmm...
Why release any phone if you know you are releasing a newer and improved phone the following year? For example, why did Apple in 2009 release the 3GS -- an incremental upgrade from the previous year's 3G -- when they knew they would release the iPhone 4 the following year? The OS7 phones are a similar stop gap -- RIM has not released any new phones at all this year -- bur are still an improvement over last year's OS 6 phones. When QNX comes out, these phones will still function and will still be supported by RIM.

Except we're really talking about software here - iOS4 released in 2010 worked on the 3GS, and even the 3G in 2008. The hearsay that it didn't work well was true for only the initial part - Apple smoothened it out eventually. Can we say the same about RIM?
