Your carrier has disabled it unless you subscribe to their premium service.

It will send your current location to the contact that you are chatting with.

it sends a gps location on blackberry maps, like a pin point not the actual address. You have to be able to use the gps feature for this. So if you can't use gps then it wont work. All bb have this option in bbm

Ok so each time you message a contact and you want to send them your location do you have to do it each time?

How does mapes work if you dont mind me asking.. I have never used that.

Yes it will not send it to everyone on bbm just the person your chatting with. blackberry maps is just what it sounds like you can open it up and it will show you your location and follow you where every you go on you device.

That is pretty cool. If I give that to a contact in BBM when we are talking can they see it in the chat or do they need to open something to see it.

Pops right up in the chat then if they click on it, it will take them to blackberry maps. If you dont mind advice you should add yourself to bbm and you can check these things out on yourself before exposing it to someone.

In bbm goto invite a contact and type in your pin and then accept it when it pops up simple as that

no not really, unless you send broadcast message and add youself
