What passwords does this program keep and what password does want me to enter to gain access to it?
You set your own password. It will keep anything you want it to keep, credit card numbers etc.
Yeah, you set your one own password. I'v e had my 8830 for a couple months now, and just started using the Password keeper. I have diffent passwords for various credit card sites, different ones for email addresses, and also different ones for work email. i used to keep them on a piece of paper in my wallet, but LOVE the fact that now i can keep them hidden in one very easy to use folder and since my BB is always with me when i'm working on the computer, its easier to get to than remembering my damn wallet sometimes!
I understand how to store them, but how do you apply it or access it to the site to save time?
Not sure what you mean by 'apply it', but you can enter a link to go to a site. I suppose you can copy and paste if you need to. You can also generate a random PWs.
But for the most part it is a Password Keeper as the name indicates. Basically used to replace the old scrap piece of paper in the wallet trick.

The passwords are also stored in an encrypted format so if your BB is stolen or lost those passwords won't be able to be read by anyone that doesn't have the password.

great feature on BB's imo i keep everything in there because I am very forgetful
The Open Source program "KeePass" is better, and it is also free... There are even versions available for Apple Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, Linux & Microsoft Windows Mobile too!
SourceForge.net: KeePass for BlackBerry
KeePass Password Safe (for everything else)
Hypothetically, what happens if you forget the password to your password keeper?
if you forget the password keeper password it will let you try 10 times and then all your passwords stored are erased and you have to reset it up.
Ha that could be very bad. Probably a good idea to have pasword on the phone it self as well.
I use the program to keep track of certain accounts when I'm not at home or work.
Also pasword keeper doesn't work like Firefox or IE as far as being able to integrate them with the browser. I believe that is what you were asking in your question above.
Off my BlackBerry I use whisper 32 for windows.

Where do you keep your password keeper password?
lol
I will no longer use the free Password Keeper. This is the 2nd time in about 3 years that for some unknown reason my blackberry resets and the password keeper ask for the original password. On both occassions I couldn't locate or remember the orginal password I used and everything I had was wiped out and I had to start over again. You would have thought I would have remembered from my first experience, but I thought that by backing up my software weekly I would avoid a recurrence, but did not. I would say that this is a bug with the software, in that it resets and wants an original password.... don't use it... from this point forward I'm going to use my outlook notes and keep them there. I never had a problem with them in the past and they are fully recoverable.
In the Password Keeper Password Keeper. It's password protected, so no one can access your Password Keeper password. And it's only $49.99 in App World. :D
Knock on wood, I've had no probs with my PK. I keep about 50 entries there, and i dread the thought of losing them all.
