CrackBerry is Under New Ownership and Relaunching in 2022 Beyond BlackBerry - Read All About It!

The original post for this hybrid can be viewed at http://opensourcebb.com/2012/04/osbb...r-os6-berries/.
Another day, another hybrid right? This file only includes 7.1.0.402 files, they’ve ran well for me for the last few days so I’m releasing it.
I’m recommending that 9650 owners install this over a fresh installation of 6.0.0.707, which has not only a newer .sfi (radio file) than 6.0.0.719, it also has a newer build date than 6.0.0.723. Other OS6 owners should install it over the OS of their choice, but keep in mind that it’s untested on all devices and OSes other than 6.0.0.707 for the 9650. I didn’t need to use the Loader.exe wipe method to install this build, my data and apps restored perfectly (including my BBM groups).
As always, there’s risks of a soft brick, installation failure, and potentially (although I’ve never heard of it happening) a permanent brick. Using a hybrid OS is not approved by RIM or your carrier, and installation is entirely at your own risk.
So by now you’re probably used to how the installation of these goes If you’re not, 69Goat did an excellent writeup on the installation process for hybrids. The original post is OSBB Tutorial: How-to Install a Hybrid to Your Phone; OpenSourceBB.com – OSBB.
Normally I’d upload this to both scrapps.org and hybrids.tk, but scrapps.org is down and I can’t seem to ftp into hybrids.tk, so the file is being hosted in Dropbox. You can download it from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11819818/OSBB%20707v1.zip.
If you have any questions or run into any problems, just post and someone will help you out.Last edited by SCrid2000; 08-03-12 at 09:36 PM.
04-27-12 12:14 AMLike 4 - No style patch and one shouldn't be needed, but you might need to delete the brickbreaker .cods in the .zip if you want brickbreaker to work.04-27-12 10:27 AMLike 0
- I'm not too sure how i feel about this one. Maybe its too early to tell. What I have noticed is that this hybrid is a little bit slower than 706v6. Also, i have noticed major memory drain. I installed about 4 hours ago. I had 309mb...now im down to 305. Also, this is the first time didnt recognize the hybrid. I had to use desktop manager to install. Do you think that's the issue?04-27-12 12:49 PMLike 0

- Reading the other posts I decided to back track my install process and figured out that the base os the problem. I reloaded it again (using DM because apploader wasn't recognizing despite my efforts) and everything is running alot better. I have about 3 mb less avail space than v706, but this build seems to be alot more responsive. I have noticed some lag using browser. Has anyone else had this issue?04-30-12 12:14 PMLike 0
- Reading at the comments here... I'll probably wait for 706v7 with .402 files!
Shane, that coming any time soon?05-03-12 07:47 AMLike 0 -
- Im actually running this over 706 now. It runs a bit better on 706 than it did on 707 for me. Im running at 312 mb free with no apps running. Otherwise im usually between 280-298mb free with apps running. (btw, I have shrunk alot from the original)
I really hate OS6 on my 9330. but this has made it slightly bearable.
May anyone upload a youtube clip of their 9330 running OS6. I recently ran OS5 on my 9330 and it was SOOOOOOOO much faster. Im gonna give this hybrid another 2 days before i switch back to OS5. surfing the web on 3g on OS5 is faster than wifi browsing on OS6. I hope this hybrid "settles in" and fixes my past OS6 issues of "checkered" browsing.05-04-12 02:32 AMLike 0 - Im actually running this over 706 now. I'm using os5 *1030 offic and thinking about update
As I understood, there is no separate patch for 9330 and 9670
What problem you have with 6.0.0.707 build?
