Alright, you guys know the drill. Here's 706v6 for OS6 devices, only tested on my own personal 9650. It's made up of files mainly from 6.0.0.723 and 7.1.0.342.

It's been hosted in two locations:

    http://hybrids.tk/

    http://scrapps.tk/blackberry/latesthybrid/

OSBB 706v6 is NOT a full hybrid; it will need to be installed over 706v5 if you're BlackBerry doesn't have 6.0.0.723 and you want to get the 6.0.0.723 files. If your BlackBerry has 6.0.0.723 for it, you just need 706v6.

A word of caution! Although this build loaded fine for me, attempting to restore my apps via loader.exe resulted in a boot loop multiple times. I believe this is due either to the version of Desktop Manager I'm using, although it might also be the flash memory on my BlackBerry (or the hybrid I suppose, but that seems unlikely). Loading my apps worked perfectly fine via OTA and BlackBerry App World. Therefore I am very strongly recommending that you load only the base files included in the build, and the remainder of your apps via OTA or App World.

Recommended base is either 6.0.0.706 or 6.0.0.723, whichever is higher for your BlackBerry. As always, I haven't tested this on anything other than the 9650.

There's not too much to say about this one - it's similar to OSBB 706v5 but it has some updated files. Overall speed seems improved (might just be because I needed a wipe pretty bad), and rebooting seems quicker. I can't speak to signal or battery life yet.

As with OSBB 706v5, I'm going to recommend the loader.exe wipe method, but if you just want to do a standard update that should be fine. The loader wipe method goes like this:

    1. Extract the files from the .zip folder to your OS folder. The .alx files aren't necessary except to establish correct version numbers for apps, or to install apps that aren't included in the base OS.

    2. Backup your apps and data.

    3. Wipe your BlackBerry. the recommended method is to connect the BlackBerry to the PC, launch loader.exe, do an alt--shift-del reboot on my BlackBerry, and then proceed to run loader.exe. This enables the nojvm mode of loader.exe, which assumes your BlackBerry has a corrupted or no OS loaded, wipes everything, and installs fresh from the OS folder.

    4. Do NOT install any third party apps (non-OS; stuff like BBM is OK) or restore data in the original load.

    5. After everything boots up and is running, restore your apps and data. Again, it is recommended that you reinstall them from OTAs (either via SD card or online) or App World. The first reboot after installing many apps will take up to 30 minutes.

There's two ways you can download this. You can download the full OS, with the extra languages as an additional file. OR, if you still have 706v4 installed in your Loader Files folder, you can download a small update patch. All downloads are in .zips (meaning you'll need to manually extract them to the OS folder).

Nice! Can't wait to get to this this. 706v5 have been running fine for me! Thanks for all ur hard work!

Edit: I wish there was a way to install hybrids w/o the use of a computer, similar to how android does it.

I downloaded 706v6, installed over 706v5, shrunk my usual stuff, backed up device with DM & BBSAK, wiped device & then loaded 706v6 with 3rd party apps...no problems. Running fine. Thanks OSBB team!

As always, thanks Shane. My 3rd party apps loaded fine, but data did not. Easy fix to reload the data from the backup that loader created using DM. Will report back any bugs I find.

Since you are pleased with the browser, Do you still get the "closing this page cause it is too large to load" error message when browsing using this hybrid? Also which phone are you using? Thanks.

I have this hybrid running on a 9650. I've never received that message with this hybrid or any of the other OSBB ones.

You're more than welcome to make any changes you want to the original hybrid if it helps your device perform better if you do, please let me know what changes you implemented.
The OSBB hybrid team is always looking for more builders, so if you're interested in helping send me a PM.

Maybe, but since you're on Verizon...why not just load it over .719 since it is a higher version anyway?

I assume you mean 706? Yes, that's what I'm running it over.
I found 706 to be better on battery than 719.

I opted not use .719 because for some reason my device didnt run as smooth. That happened with 706v5 so i assumed the same thing would happen with this version.

I don't see how you guys say that you find 706 a good OS. All of them were crap for me. With discharge rates as high as 9-13%(well I do use bbm A LOT and text A LOT), I don't see how you can say they have good battery. And yes, the hybrids have little or no impact on my discharge rate
