i really miss the multi touch typing.. most guys dont miss it because they didnt even realize they had it.. i type a bit fast so i noticed the difference with this OS.. hope they bring it back in a hybrid or something...

I don't think so...It's an issue in the radio file from what I can tell.

It will be horrible if moving forward they don't bring it back/fix it. Hey we lost swipe up for keyboard so who knows....

You guys lost the multitouch? I have a 9550 but was looking to upgrade a friends 9530 but this would suck. I also noticed I have problems typing on .428 on my S2, maybe they did something with that also...

Ok have another issue. Left side convenience key is set for Virtual Keyboard.

Press it in portrait and up comes the keyboard. Perfect.

Press it in landscape and nothing happens. Not perfect.

I noticed the same thing in .328, but that was the first 5.0 OS I tried. It would pull the keyboard up in either portrait or landscape when I was using 4.7.0.x

This seems to only be the case on the home screen.....it still works in landscape everywhere else...not really any more big of deal than removing show keybord from the home screen menu all together

I am impressed with .419. I skipped .328 because of many issues.

Typing is gread (not sure about the multi touch issue that some have mentioned, I guess I dont use it), I like the pop up keys. The camera is faster, displaying pictures is faster, no keyboard when reading texts, which got in the way. The upgrade was easy, the only problem I had was that many recurring appointments get screwed up, and now show on the wrong date, or span over 2-3 days. I had to manually clean it all up. Memory and battery are good.

Everything is faster and smoother, the best OS Ive used so far.

I'm having the same issue.....I would REALLY like to get it fixed! Anybody know anything to do to remedy this error or can explain to me what is happening (in dumb guy terms of course)

Having same issue...apparently it is mobile banking application related. My bank suggested the same solution...uninstall, reinstall, reactivate, but that did not solve the certificate issue. I've emailed them back the results, but their tech department is closed over the weekend. Apparently there is a conflict with the application and .419. If I hear back with another solution (that works), I'll post.

Has anyone noticed any leaking on 419/428? I started out pretty good at 38mbs and then I noticed that my memory is leaking down to 30.7 overnight. I have just the usual 5 apps running in background and Meterberry 2.0.3 running. Did not used to get leaks on the first install that I did over .328 with the 419/428 java that Lyricidal first put together when it first dropped. I reinstalled the leak using the exe and the running Lyricidal 428 hybrid over it and now I am seeing leaking.
Anyone else?

Ok I think I found a fix for speed dial problems. If it works for a few people I might make a thread on it so its easily searchable.

Change your keyboard to multi tap and save the changes. This should fix your speed dials. I confirmed mine worked with this keyboard.

You can then change it back to whatever you want and it should continue to work alright.

I am going to test if the fix persists across battery pulls right now.

Yes it still works after a battery pull. Voicemail is on the correct digit of one now too. All speed dials work on their proper number.

Let me know if this fix works for you if you have speed dial problems.

Maybe its just me. But the screen seems to be more responsive than ever. My typing is almost as good with my storm 2. Its like having two new phones...:-)

Speed dial does seem to work while the keyboard is in multi touch mode. Mt speed dial #9 still calls my voice mail.

Did you change it in options or just in the menu?

I changed it in options>screen/keyboard

Speed dials worked correctly. I then changes it back in the same place and it still works.

Nothing seems to makes this keyboard hiding thing in the browser go away though.....

Ok. Nevermind. It seems after a couple more tests that speed dial is broken only when you have the full keyboard selected and it does not matter where you set it to that.

If you have the sure type or multi tap keyboard selected your speed dials should work correctly.

I think 2 and 3 still work with full keyboard and you can use 9 for voice mail. Actually 3 will dial speed dial 5.....

Changing keyboards so frequently while checking in to this also led to some strange keyboard visual glitches......

So has anyone else experienced the screen dimming coming back? It only has done it occasionally...3 or 4 times I believe in the past 3 days. I have yet to do a battery pull since I installed .419 back on Monday. Everything else is still running smooth, down to 23.3 mb mem after almost a week running it.

In the browser..of you change your keyboard from multi tap to full keyboard your left keys will be messed up but work fine.

Q will show as QW. A will show as AS. Z will show as ZX.

Seems I have to switch to SureType and back to get rid of that bug.

But this dissapearing keyboard in the browser is way too frustrating....I am downgrading tonight

Found a memory leak in .419

I was using Opera 5.2 Beta and it leaks bad in .419.
Stock manager also leaked bad.

Deleted Stock manger and went back to Opera 4 and leak stopped!

The rest of 419 works great.

Yes PLEEEEAAAASE DO!! I was going to contact my bank as well but if you are already a couple of steps into the process, I will just wait to see what you come up with. Probably much faster than trying to deal with customer service. When I uninstall/reinstall, it wont even let me get to the point where I need to enter an activation code before it pos up the certificate message. One time it just said mobile banking it not available at this time, please try again later....but that was only one time out of the four that I have tried.....

I cant send mms with this os. I receive mms just fine.

I can create the mms but then none of the send buttons work.Does anyone else have this problem?

Were you using Opera 5 beta 2 much? Was it leaking just having on you Storm? I am trying to figure out my leak too. I have not deleted Opera 5 yet but might try it.

Nope, I have it on mine and I am around 35mb and don't really use that much after a few days.

I have Opera 5 beta 2 installed. Not noticing much memory leak....but then I'm not using Opera much.

Can confirm it works when saved as mutitape. All my speed dails came back, with no reboot. But fails again, when changed back to full keyboard, no reboot, nothing, just changed back to full keyboard

Does work with suretype though. At least the speed dail keys I'm willing to call at 6am...
