    Hi All,

I recently upgraded from Curve 8520 OS 5 to Torch 9810 OS 7 and kept the same old SD card on my earlier handset to the new one. I read somewhere this may cause some app(s) to corrupt leading to higher application memory usage. I would like to know

A] How to find out which app may be the reason for high app memory use
B] How to correct/rectify this issue.

I have also read somewhere if this memory is kept clean, the handset doesn't require a hard reset (either by ALT+CAPS+DEL or battery pull) every couple of days. If this has already been asked before, could somebody point me to the right forum?

I'm kinda n00b here and not familiar with such troubleshooting. System uses ~250-270 megs, applications ~70-80 megs, other about the same as applications with free memory hovering at ~120-130 megs. I have installed 18 apps, the usual FB, twitter, google maps and talk, msn and yahoo im and other stuff.

    Thank you in advance!

The memory card and device will be fine. I switched from an 9550 (OS 5) to a 9930 and just plugged the card in. Just don't use device switch wizard to transfer apps, only transfer calendar, contacts, task, memo's.

Rats, and I transferred everything (I mean everything) over to my new handset. Looks like I'm reinstalling (read wipe-clean) again this weekend. Woohoo!! x_x

    Thanks man, I'll try it.

Well, you might be ok. Others have had issues. Just keep an eye on it. You may not have any issues.
