I have a website with GoDaddy. I am going to be buying a hosted Exchange plan (with their BlackBerry service option).

My friend has a Bold 9900 with BIS. Does he need BES to be able to connect to his Exchange mailbox? Can he still receive/reply to emails from his other email accounts if he sets up an Exchange mailbox on his BB?

Don't believe BES is required, it just gives you greater control.

if he wants Calender, Contact and notes wireless sync he will need the BES plan as well, if just using OWA he can get by with BIS.
